Brazil 2014: TF1 to broadcast near-live clips of France-Ukraine play-off on Twitter

The French broadcaster TF1 is going to post short video clips on its Twitter account of the two World Cup 2014 play-off matches between France and Ukraine on the 15 and 19/11/2013, according to the French newspaper Les Echos, on the 29/10/2013.

The videos will be posted on Twitter near-live, meaning there'll be a very slight delay compared to the live broadcast by TF1, who hold the rights for France for the period 2010-2014. These sequences will focus on the best moments of the match, but not the goals, and will be sponsored by an advertiser.

TF1 and Twitter announced an agreement on the 31/08/2013, stating that during the broadcast of a program, the channel can publish clips on its Twitter account that are sponsored by advertisers. This practice has already been used on the "Dancing with the Stars" show.
