Decathlon: turnover of €11bn in 2017 (+10%), including €7.6bn from international sales (+13.4%)

Decathlon generated a turnover of €11bn in the fiscal year 2017, up 10% compared to 2016 (€10bn), announced the French sporting goods designer and distributor on 14/02/2018.

The group generated 69% of its turnover in 2017 from international sales (€7.6bn, +13.4%), 2% more than in 2016. In France, Decathlon posted a turnover of €3.4bn, up 3% compared to in 2016 (€3.3bn).

4.5% of Decathlon's French sales (€153m) were generated online at decathlon.fr in 2017, compared to 4.1% in 2016 and 3.1% in 2015.

The group opened nine new stores in France in 2017, bringing its total to 310, and created 1,100 full-time jobs (23,000 employees in France in total). Internationally, Decathlon inaugurated 185 new stores (in 10 new markets, including South Africa and the United States) in 2017, bringing its total to 1,352 sales outlets in 39 countries. The group has 80,000 employees worldwide.
