Brazil 2014: Zinedine Zidane to attend finals draw, on the 06/12/2013

Zinedine Zidane will attend the draw for the finals of the 2014 World Cup on the 06/12/2013 at Costa do Sauipe, State of Bahia, Brazil, said Jérôme Valcke, the secretary general of FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association), on the 01/11/2013.

Jerome Valcke will be assisted in the draw, which will determine the composition of the eight groups of four teams in the twentieth World Cup, by a representative from each of the eight countries that have won the competition, namely, in chronological order: Uruguay, Italy, Germany, Brazil, England, Argentina, France and Spain.

"The draw is the third major organisational challenge for Brazil and FIFA after the draw for the qualifying groups in Rio de Janeiro (on the 30/07/2011), and the Confederations Cup in June 2013. The event will be broadcast live to 500 million viewers. My greatest wish is that it manages to reflect the immense excitement that exists in Brazil before the World Cup," said Valcke.
