FIFA: Joseph Blatter travelling to Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar

Joseph Blatter, president of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), will meet Iranian President Hassan Rohani, during his visit to Tehran (Iran), on the 06 and 07/11/2013, announced Kafashian Ali, President of the Iranian Football Federation on the 02/11/2013.

The FIFA president will attend a conference on football, and meet with the Iranian authorities of football and sport, as well as the minister for youth.

The last time Blatter visited Iran was in January 2001. The country is one of 21 nations already qualified for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The FIFA president will then travel to the United Arab Emirates where he will attend the final of the U-17 World Cup in Abu Dhabi, between Mexico and Nigeria, on the 08/11/2013.

He finishes his tour of the region in Doha (Qatar) by meeting the new emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, on the 09/11/2013, to discuss the 2022 World Cup. He will also address the issue of working conditions in the emirate state, and the problem of when (summer or winter) the XXII World Cup should be held.
