Facebook: 236.5 million likes in total for the 20 LaLiga Santander clubs (March 2018)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2017-18 LaLiga Santander season have a cumulative total of nearly 236.5 million likes on the social network Facebook, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/03/2018. This makes LaLiga Santander the second most popular Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League, with more than 11.8 million likes per club.

Real Madrid CF, the most popular Spanish club on Facebook with more than 106.9 million likes, posted the highest growth in absolute value with 343,917 additional likes during the month of February 2018.

FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF have more than 210 million likes, nearly 89% of the total likes of LaLiga Santander clubs, and more than the 58 Serie A TIM, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 Conforama clubs combined.

With 10% more likes (+9,939), Girona FC, the fourth least popular LaLiga Santander club on Facebook, was the club with the best percentage growth in February 2018.
