Facebook: 253.8 million likes in total for the 20 Premier League clubs (March 2018)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2017-18 Premier League league have a cumulative total of nearly 253.8 million likes on the social network Facebook, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/03/2018. This total makes the Premier League the most popular Top 5 European league on Facebook, with an average of 12.7 million likes per club.

Tottenham Hotspur FC was the Premier League club with the best growth in absolute value in February 2018 with an additional 816,192 likes (+9.4%). With over 9.5 million likes, the London club has the sixth largest total of the Premier League clubs. In relative terms, Southampton FC posted the best percentage growth (+13.3%).

Manchester United remain the most popular English club on Facebook with nearly 73.8 million likes. Chelsea FC, the reigning Premier League champions, are second with nearly 47.9 million likes. 14 clubs in the English league have at least one million fans, a record in the Top 5.
