Premier League: West Ham United and NiP (eSports) team up for the Betway Esports Challenge

West Ham United FC (Premier League) have released two videos on the video platform YouTube of club players Michail Antonio and Javier Hernandez joining the eSports team Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP), to take part in the Betway Insider Esports Challenge on the video game CounterStrike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), on 14/02 and 26/02/2018.

The first of the two YouTube videos pitted the two West Ham United players, while being coached by the NiP esports team, against each other in a "1v1" match on CS:GO, aimed to test "the players’ accuracy, speed and hand eye co-ordination, with the first player to eliminate their opponent 11 times being named the winner," said West Ham.

In the second video, the roles were reversed as NiP players GeT_RiGhT and f0rest took on the "Target Range Challenge", a test of their footballing accuracy. This is "the first time a football club and eSports team have ever collaborated in this way," added West Ham.
