UEFA: Vadim Vasilyev (AS Monaco) appointed to the Club Competitions Committee by the ECA

Vadim Vasilyev (RUS), vice-president and CEO of AS Monaco (Ligue 1 Conforama), has joined the UEFA Club Competitions Committee after being appointed by the European Club Association (ECA), of which the Monegasque club is a member, according to the ECA on 02/03/2018.

Vadim Vasilyev becomes the 19^th member of the UEFA Club Competitions Committee (see list below) and the second representative for French football after Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of Paris Saint-Germain. "The appointment has been confirmed by UEFA's Executive Committee (meeting in Bratislava, SVK on 25/02/2018) and is now effective," said AS Monaco.

"UEFA's Club Competitions Committee is essential to the future of these competitions and for the clubs involved in them, and I am very proud to be a part of it. I will devote all my energy to defending the interests of these competitions, of course, but also the interests of French football in the coming changes," declared Vadim Vasilyev, who has also been a member of the board of directors of the LFP since November 2016.
