Bundesliga: badenova (energy supplier) sleeve sponsor of SC Freiburg from March 2018

badenova, the German electricity and gas supplier, has renewed and expanded its partnership with SC Freiburg (Bundesliga), by becoming the shirt sleeve sponsor of the German club on 02/03/2018. The duration of the deal has not yet been officially communicated.

badenova has been a partner of SC Freiburg since 2003, and held the club's stadium naming rights from 2004 until the end of 2011 (estimated €0.5m annually, according to German media).

Since that date, the electricity and gas supplier has been SC Friborg's "classic sponsor", the third level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the German club. badenova provides electricity for the club's various infrastructures, including the stadium. Since 2016-17, the group has also been the main shirt sponsor of SC Freiburg's women's team (Allianz Frauen-Bundesliga).

Badenova becomes the 18^th and last Bundesliga sleeve sponsor in 2017-18, the first season in which the DFL has authorised the 36 clubs of the German first and second divisions to market this space individually for their shirts. In the Bundesliga, 10 clubs, including SC Freiburg…
