Fox International: Simon Thomas, vice president in charge of global sports and content sales

Simon Thomas has been appointed executive vice president of pay television network FIC (Fox International Channels) announced Hernan Lopez, president and CEO of the company, on the 05/11/2013. Simon Thomas will be based in London (England) and Zurich (Switzerland) and will work directly with Hernan Lopez.

The VP, who will officially take office in January 2014, will be responsible for the development of FIC's sports channels, particularly in the development of global sports rights and the monetisation of the group's sports and entertainment content.

"Simon’s global view of sports and media markets, along with his experience on large scale rights transactions make him the ideal candidate for this combined role", said Hernan Lopez, on the 05/11/2013. "He joins a fantastic team of executives at FIC, and will work across the group to further scale both our sports business and our syndication business".

Thomas left his role as CEO of the Swiss sports marketing agency, Team Marketing, in March 2013, having been in charge since June 2011.
