West Ham United: club to investigate pitch invasion at the London Stadium on 10/03/2018

"West Ham United (Premier League) have immediately launched a full and thorough investigation into the incidents which marred the second half of today's match (West Ham United - Burnley FC, 0-3, at the London Stadium at Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park, 60,000 capacity, on 10/03/2018) and are committed to taking decisive and appropriate action," said the London club on 10/03/2018.

During the West Ham United FC - Burnley FC game (Matchday 30 of the 2017-18 Premier League season), there were four pitch invasions involving West Ham fans, who proceeded to have physical altercations with players, including captain Mark Noble. The protests also extended to the directors box, and caused West Ham United owners David Gold and David Sullivan to exit their seats.

"An emergency meeting has been called with all London Stadium stakeholders. There will be no further comment at this time," added West Ham United.
