"The 'socio' model takes time, rigor and requires the help of an external partner to put in place a well-defined strategy. Of course, as in all clubs, the sporting results are seen as an essential criteria to 'judge' if the structure is good or bad. Conversely, it is impossible to deny the fact that the effective management of a club brings success on the pitch in the long term. Can one can say that FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF are great football clubs because they have a 'socio' structure? I think this is not the primary reason, but it is nevertheless a serious hypothesis to consider," said Olivier Jarosz, director of the Club Management Programme of the ECA, to News Tank Football on 13/03/2018.
