FFF: launch of the the french national team's Twitter account in English (@FrenchTeam) on 21/03/2018

"The French Football Federation continues to develop its internationalisation strategy with the launch of the French team's Twitter account (@FrenchTeam) in English just a few months before the start of the World Cup in Russia (14/06/2018)," announced the FFF on 21/03/2018, the day of the launch of the account.

"The opening of this English Twitter account fits perfectly within the framework of the international development policy of the French Football Federation. With three months until the World Cup, it is important for us to allow our foreign fans to follow all the news of the French football teams and continue the development of our international fan community," said François Vasseur, marketing director of the FFF, on 21/03/2018.

The French team has more than 12 million fans on social media with 5.5 million Likes on Facebook, 3.5 million followers on Twitter, 2.6 million followers on Instagram (most followed national team in the world), 570,000 YouTube subscribers (most subscribed national team in the world) and 300,000 followers on Snapchat.
