"In 2012, wanting to take responsibility for HNK Hajduk Split (Prva HNL, CRO) was not an easy decision because the club was in a very bad state in terms of finance, organisation and with regards to the first team, due to a long period of mismanagement and the lack of vision and strategy of its leaders. The decision by the supporters to help the club's recovery was brave, but for them, I think it was a duty", said Slaven Marasović, president of the supervisory board of HNK Hajduk Split to News Tank Football on 20/03/2018.
