eSports: Santander expands its partnership with LaLiga via the "Santander Adrenalyn Challenge"

Spanish bank Banco Santander has expanded its partnership with LaLiga by becoming a title partner of the "Santander Adrenalyn Challenge", a Spanish eSports competition launched by LaLiga, announced the Spanish league on 19/03/2018. Santander has been the title sponsor of the Spanish professional football league for an initial three seasons (2016-2019), plus an optional season (2019-20) since 21/07/2016.

Eight qualifying tournaments will be held online, on the video game Adrenalyn XL Online (see details below), from 31/03 to 19/05/2018. The eight winners will participate in the final stage of the Santander Adrenalyn Challenge, at Gamergy 2018, an eSports event in Madrid (ESP), from 22 to 24/06/2018 (see details below).

The "Santander Adrenalyn Challenge" was announced by LaLiga seven days after the "McDonald's Virtual LaLiga eSports", the official qualifying phase for Spanish participants in the EA SPORTS FIFA 18 Global Series Playoffs, launched on 13/03/2018. LaLiga also announced its entry into eSports with "LaLiga eSports" on 27/02/2018.
