OCBC Bank acquire naming rights to several areas of Singapore Sports Hub for €30 million

The Singapore bank OCBC (Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation) have signed an agreement worth €30 million over 15 years to get the naming rights to several areas of the Singapore Sports Hub, on the 09/11/2013.

The Singapore Sports Hub is a complex of 35 hectares dedicated to sports and recreation. It consists of the National Stadium, with a capacity of 55,000 seats, a 6,000 seat aquatic centre, a multi-purpose sports hall of 3,000 seats, a 12,000 seat indoor stadium, a sports museum, an exhibition centre and 41,000 m2 of retail space.

The cost of development, done entirely by Dragages Singapour, a subsidiary of the Bouygues Group, amounted to €770 million. The complex is built through a public-private partnership involving the financing, design, construction and operation of the site by Bouygues for 25 years until 2039. Work began in September 2010 with an expected delivery in April 2014, 43 months of work in total.
