Premier League: Tottenham Hotspur FC and Sporting Force (charity) launch a veteran employment scheme

Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League) and the club's foundation have launched a partnership with Sporting Force, a veterans' charity that supports ex-military personnel, in order to combat unemployment and create "50 full-time and part-time jobs," announced the London club on 09/03/2018.

"The scheme was officially launched today (09/03/2018) with an event at Percy House, attended by club ambassador Ledley King" and "military veterans and Spurs fans Daniel Bingley and Davin Burke," said Tottenham Hotspur FC.

The club will recruit "ex-military servicemen and women to work as stewards, security staff and hosts in its new stadium. This is the largest veteran recruitment scheme by any Premier League football club. Successful candidates will complete a training course at the club and will be fully qualified in time for the opening of the stadium later this year," said Tottenham Hotspur.

With the creation of Tottenham's new stadium due to be finished in time for the 2018-19 season, the club has already "created 1,210 new jobs for local people as a direct result of its ongoing new stadium…
