Lega Serie A: General Assembly on 07/05/2018 to the establish the new governance of the league

A General Assembly of the Lega Serie A is to be convened at the CONI (the Italian National Olympic Committee) headquarters in Rome on Monday 07/05/2018 (13:30 CET) in order to complete the establisment of the new governance of the Italian professional league, announced the Lega Serie A at the end of another General Assembly, on 27/03/2018.

The Lega, which has had a new president since 19/03/2018 - Gaetano Miccichè, who was unanimously elected - is still headed by an extraordinary commissioner, Giovanni Malago, who has also been president of CONI, since 01/02/2018. His mandate must end when all other league leaders have been elected (on 07/05/2018) including; a managing director, an independent advisor, four league advisors and two Italian federation advisors.

"The 20 clubs are made up of extraordinary people, all capable of thinking about the interests of the Lega Serie A. In Italy, we have to bring back both enthusiasm and families to the stadiums.
