CONCACAF: Sonia Bien-Aime, first woman elected to the Executive Committee

Sonia Bien-Aime, executive secretary of the TCIFA (Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association, a British overseas territory located in the Caribbean), was appointed member of the Executive Committee of CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football) at the last executive committee meeting in Montego Bay (Jamaica), on the 09/11/2013. The result makes her the first woman to join the executive committee of the confederation.

"It is a great source of pride for CONCACAF that Sonia Bien-Aime is joining its Executive Committee," said Jeffrey Webb, president of the institution, on the 11/11/2013. "Her experience and unique perspective will be invaluable as both CONCACAF and FIFA continue to evolve."

"I would like to thank President Webb and the members of CONCACAF’s Executive Committee for their warm welcome and appreciation of my work in football," said Sonia Bien-Aime.
