The Brazilian bank Itau have extended their partnership with the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) for eight years, they announced in a press conference, on the 11/11/2013.

The banking group, headquartered in Sao Paulo, was under contract with the Confederation until October 2014. The extension binds the two parties until the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

The previous contract assured CBF an annual budget of €9.6 million. The new agreement will increase this amount, according to several Brazilian media outlets.

"The extension of this agreement with an institution of the size and expression of Itaú is an eloquent demonstration of confidence in our work and the prestige and strength of our squad," said Jose Maria Marin, president of the CBF.

The twentieth World Cup will be held in Brazil from the 12/06 to 13/07/2014.
