Austria: Tipico (sports betting operator) extends as title sponsor of the league until 2019-20

The betting operator Tipico, has extended as the title sponsor of the Austrian Bundesliga (first division), with the ÖFBL (Austrian football league) "for two seasons until 2019-20 with an optional additional season" according to the Austrian league on 03/29/2018. The contract is estimated at €2m per year, roughly the same value as previous contracts.

The Malta-based company became a title sponsor of the Austrian Bundesliga until 2016-17 on 07/03/2014. Tipico extended his agreement of one season until 2017-18, on 23/12/2016. Tipico pays the same amount as its predecessor, the Austrian betting operator Tipp3, a title sponsor until 2013-14.

"The extension of our cooperation is a mutual commitment. Tipico and the Bundesliga stand for football, for trust and constant development. Our engagement in Austria has been promoting local football since 2014 and we are proud of that. We look forward to the coming seasons and for a new chapter in the Tipico Bundesliga after the league reform," said Marlon van der Goes, chief commercial officer of Tipico, on 29/03/2018.
