The German telecommunications group Deutsche Telekom will equip the Allianz Arena in Munich (71,000 seats) with a high-speed Wi-Fi solution for their fans, announced Bayern Munich, who own the stadium, on the 11/11/2013.

Deutsche Telekom will equip the stadium with an LTE (Long Term Evolution) solution that can simultaneously connect 50,000 spectators, with no risk of overloading. The telecommunications company will install 11,000 metres of cable, one ton of aluminum and a 100 m² room for storing the computer system.

Bayern Munich and Deutsche Telekom plan to provide exclusive content to fans during matches at the Allianz Arena. The club and the company have not yet given a date for the improvements.

In addition, the stadium's sound system will be improved and several hundred HD connected screens will be installed. The club could then market new advertising spaces.
