MLB: South Korean Hankook (tyres) becomes an official partner in the United States and South Korea

Hankook Tire, a South Korean tyre manufacturer, has entered a "multi-year" partnership with MLB, on 28/03/2018. Hankook gained the status of "Official Tire" partner in the United States and South Korea. The 2018 MLB regular season began on 29/03/2018.

As part of the deal, Hankook will gain visibility on MLB's media platforms and stadiums as well as during events such as the All-Star Game. "Hankook Tire is also developing MLB-themed creative to run in its multimedia advertising, as well as a retail marketing campaign that would extend its MLB footprint beyond the ballparks and media. Through the partnership, Hankook Tire will use MLB property in marketing activities, giveaways, consumer promotion and events. The company will also engage U.S. consumers through virtual advertisements behind home plate during national broadcasts of Postseason games including the League Championship Series and World Series presented by YouTube TV," said MLB.
