The Juventus (Serie A TIM) - Real Madrid (LaLiga Santander) quarter-final first leg of the 2017-18 Champions League (0-3), drew an average of 7.264 million viewers in Spain, on the free and private TV channel Antena 3, on Tuesday 03/04/2018 (kick-off at 20:45 CET). This figure represented an audience share of 38.4%.

The Spanish television group Atresmedia broadcasts for free on Tuesday nights, via its free channel Antena 3 (or occasionally on the free-TV channel Sexta), one game on each matchday of the competition, as well as the Champions League final for the 2015-2018 period.

Atresmedia and the Spanish TV groups Mediapro and TV3 acquired the audiovisual rights of the Champions League for Spain for the 2015-2018 period on 24/09/2014.

From 2018-19, there will no longer be a Champions League match (excluding the final) broadcast for free in Spain. Mediapro and pay-TV group beIN Media Group acquired the exclusive 2018-2021 media rights for the European Cups on 19/07/2017.
