Facebook: 255 million Likes in total for the 20 Premier League clubs (April 2018)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2017-18 Premier League league have a cumulative total of nearly 255 million Likes on the social network Facebook, according to data recorded by News Tank Football on 01/04/2018. This total makes the Premier League the most popular Top 5 European league on Facebook, with an average of nearly 12.8 million Likes per club.

Tottenham Hotspur FC was the Premier League club with the best growth in absolute value in March 2018 with 576,013 additional Likes (+6%) and reached a milestone of 10 million Likes. The London club has the sixth largest total number of Likes of the Premier League clubs. Southampton FC were the club that posted the best percentage growth rate (+23%) for the second consecutive month.

Manchester United remains the most popular English club on Facebook with nearly 73.7 million Likes. Chelsea FC, the reigning Premier League champions, are second with nearly 47.9 million Likes. 14 clubs in the English league have at least one million Likes, a record in the Top 5.
