Facebook: 74.2 million Likes in total for the 18 Bundesliga clubs (April 2018)

The 18 clubs involved in the 2017-18 Bundesliga season have a cumulative total of nearly 74.2 million Likes on the social network Facebook, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/04/2018. The Bundesliga is the fourth most popular Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League, LaLiga Santander and the Serie A TIM, with an average of over 4.1 million Likes per club.

FC Bayern Munich are the most popular German club on Facebook with over 45.1 million Likes, and posted the best growth in absolute value with an additional 515,148 Likes in March 2018.

With a 2% increase in number of Likes, RB Leipzig was the Bundesliga club with the best percentage growth rate on Facebook during the past month, ahead of Bayern Munich (+1.2%).

11 out of 18 clubs posted a decrease in their number of likes compared to on 01/03/2018. This drop could be explained by a "cleanup" operated by Facebook, which removes the Likes given by "bots" (robots) or by inactive or even deactivated accounts.
