Borussia Dortmund: turnover of €59.5 million, up 15% in the first quarter of 2013-14

Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga, GER) recorded a turnover of €59.5 million in the first quarter of 2013-14 (from 01/07 to 30/09/2013), up 15% in one year (€52 million), announced the club, on the 13/11/2013.

All areas of revenue have increased, particularly merchandising (€15.4 million, +31.6%) and ticket receipts (€7.6 million, +13.4%). The team's payroll for the 2012-13 Champions League finalists reached €22.8 million on the 30/09/2013, an increase of €4.7 million (+26%) compared to the first quarter of 2012-13 (€18.1 million).

The club, from North Rhine-Westphalia, reported an operating profit of €2.3 million in the first quarter of 2013-14, down 45% compared to the same period of 2012-13 (€4.2 million ) and a net profit of €1.4 million against €2.6 million on the 30/09/2012, a decrease of 46%.

Borussia Dortmund recorded a turnover of €274.7 million in 2012-13, up 38% compared to 2011-12 (€198.9 million). The club have been trading since October 2000.
