2026 World Cup: FIFA's "Bid Evaluation Task Force" begin their inspection in Mexico

Mexico (MEX) on 09 and 10/04/2018, will be the first place to be visited by FIFA's "Bid Evaluation Task Force", the group in charge of inspecting candidate countries for the organisation of the 2026 World Cup, according to FIFA, on 06/04/2018.

"Following the assessment by the 2026 Bid Evaluation Task Force ­- and provided the FIFA Council submits a designation - the decision on whether to select one of the above bidders to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be taken by the 68th FIFA Congress, which will convene in Moscow (RUS) on 13/06/2018 (the eve of the opening match of the 2018 World Cup)," said FIFA. Two bids have been submitted, one by the trio of Mexico, Canada and the United States and the other by Morocco. 

After Mexico, the Bid Evaluation Task Force (see below) will travel to Atlanta (10-11/04/2018, Toronto (11-12/04/2018), then New York/New Jersey (12-13/04/2018), before an inspection visit to Morocco: Marrakech (16-17/04/2018, Agadir (17-18/04/2018), Tangier (18-19/04/2018 and Casablanca (19/04/2018).
