Twitter: 73.2 million followers in total for the 20 Premier League clubs (April 2018)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2017-18 Premier League season have a cumulative 73.2 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data recorded by News Tank Football on 01/04/2018. The Premier League is the most popular European Top 5 league on Twitter, with an average of 3.66 million followers per club.

Manchester City FC, the fifth most-followed English club on Twitter, crossed the 6 million followers mark in March 2018 (6,110,247 on 01/04/2018) and posted the best percentage growth with 2.5% additional followers (+148,020).

In total, the 20 Premier League clubs accumulated 1,351,120 new followers in March 2018, 69.7% more than the 58 clubs of the Ligue 1 Conforama, Serie A TIM and Bundesliga combined (795,869).

The figures taken into account for this ranking concern only the main Twitter account of each club
