France: free-TV C8 (Canal+) to broadcast of a Champions League semi-final, on 01 or 02/05/2018

The French audiovisual conglomerate Canal+ will broadcast, on free-TV via its C8 channel, a semi-final return leg match of the 2017-18 Champions League, on either 01 or the 02/05/2018, announced C8 on 10/04/2018.

FC Barcelona - Chelsea (2-2, Chelsea advanced 3-2 on aggregate), the semi-final return leg of the 2011-12 Champions League, broadcast on the private free-TV channel TF1 on 24/04/2012, was the last Champions League semi-final of broadcast free-to-air in France.

The final of the 2017-18 Champions League, which is part of the list of sporting events considered of major importance, will be broadcast free-to-air on C8, as well as co-broadcast on by the pay-TV group beIN Sports France, on Saturday 26/05/2018.
