Serie A: Indonesian Erick Thohir president of Inter Milan, Massimo Moratti honorary president

Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir was named president of Inter Milan (Serie A) at the general meeting of the club, on the 15/11/2013. He replaces Massimo Moratti, in office since 1995, who becomes honorary president.

"I really want to thank my friend and new partner Massimo Moratti for the trust and support," said Erick Thohir on the 15/11/2013. "This is a truly special day in my life. Inter is a magnificent story of passion, a tradition of winning and commitment to excellence," he added.

Massimo Moratti, Inter's majority shareholder since the 18/02/1995, sold 70% of his club to ISC (International Sports Capital), Erick Thohir's group, for about €250 million, on the 15/10/2013. The Indonesian owns 35% of the club, while his business partners Rosan Roeslani and Handy Soetedjo hold 17.5% each.
