Sommet Sports acquire broadcasting rights in New Zealand for 2013 Club World Cup

New Zealand free-TV channel, Sommet Sports, have acquired the broadcasting rights in New Zealand for the 2013 Club World Cup, the company announced on their Twitter account on the 12/11/2013.

The competition, organised by FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association), takes place in Morocco from the 11 to 21/12/2013. It brings together the winners of the six main club competitions organised by each of the club confederations, as well as the champions of the host country (Raja Casablanca).

The New Zealand club Auckland City FC qualify as winners of the 2012-13 OFC (Oceania Football Confederation) Champions League. Raja Casablanca will play Auckland City FC in the opening match of the 2013 Club World Cup on the 12/11/2013 in Agadir.

The TV rights for the FIFA Club World Cup in 2012, played in Japan from the 06 to 16/12/2012, were held in New Zealand by the pay-TV channel Sky NZ.
