Rugby: Gallagher (brokerage) replaces Aviva as title sponsor of the English Premiership in 2018-19

"Premiership Rugby and Gallagher, one of the world’s largest insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting services companies, have agreed to a multi-year strategic business and marketing partnership beginning with the 2018-19 season with Gallagher becoming the official title sponsor of Premiership Rugby," said the English Rugby Union league on 12/04/2018.

"The new partnership starts on 01/07/2018, and the competition will be known as 'Gallagher Premiership Rugby' when it kicks off on 31/08/2018, with naming rights, branding opportunities and local community programs included in the agreement," said Premiership Rugby.

Gallagher will gain the status of official partner, the first level in the sponsorship hierarchy of Premiership Rugby. Gallagher will replace Aviva, a British insurance company, which extended as the title sponsor of the professional rugby league for the 2017-18 season, on 03/08/2017. Aviva has been the title sponsor of the rugby league named the 'Aviva Premiership' since the 2010-11 season.
