The bidding for the broadcast rights in the Philippines, for the qualifiers and finals of Euro 2016 (France), and the European qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, has been deferred to a later date, indicated UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), on the 14/11/2013.

The call for the rights to the Philippine territory was launched on the 07/11/2013 and broadcasters had to return their responses to CAA Eleven, the agency that manages and markets the TV rights for UEFA international competitions, before the 28/11/2013. The Philippines was hit by typhoon Haiyan on the 08/11/2013.

"Because of the dramatic situation faced by the Philippines, UEFA ruled that to go ahead with the tender procedure was not appropriate at this time," said the European body to NTF, on the 15/11/2013.
