FFF: EDF (electricity) extends as major partner of the Federation until 2023

The electricity producer and supplier EDF has extended its partnership with the FFF for five years (2018-2023 cycle), on 20/04/2018. EDF has the status of major partner, the first level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the federation.

Through the partnership signed by Noël Le Graët, president of the FFF, and Jean-Bernard Levy, president and CEO of EDF, the public company also retains its status as energy partner of the Coupe de France and partner of amateur football in France.

The French group will be a partner of the French teams until the end of the 2022-23 season, which includes the 2022 World Cup in Qatar which take place in November-December 2022. The value of the agreement is "in-line with the previous contract (about €5m per year)," said Jean-Bernard Levy, CEO of EDF, on 20/04/2018.

EDF became a major partner of the French Football Federation for the period 2014-2018, on 05/06/2014. EDF replaced the French energy group GDF Suez, a major partner of the FFF since 2006, who paid an estimated €4m annually.
