The Irishman John Feehan has resigned as CEO of the NatWest 6 Nations and British & Irish Lions Tournament with immediate effect, said Six Nations Rugby Ltd, the company which holds the rights to both competitions, on 20/04/2018. "A recruitment process will commence shortly for John's replacement with an announcement to be made in due course," stated the company.

"John has been at the helm of both organisations for 16 years. In that time, he has overseen unprecedented growth of the Six Nations Championship and has also presided over four successful British & Irish Lions Tours including two Tours to New Zealand," stated Six Nations Rugby Ltd. The British Lions are going to New Zealand to face the "All Blacks" in the "DHL Lions Series" on 24/06, 01/07 and 08/07/2017.
