The Swedish pay and free-TV group TV4 extended their broadcasting rights of Ligue 1 (FRA) in Sweden for another season, on the 19/11/2013

TV4 have broadcast the French first division since 2012-13, when Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Sweden captain, signed for Paris Saint-Germain. The group now has the rights to broadcast Ligue 1 until the end of the 2014-15 season.

Ligue 1 is currently transmitted on pay-TV channel TV4 Sport, but from 2014-15, Paris Saint-Germain games will be broadcast on TV12, the new free channel of the TV4 Group. "We know there is great interest in Zlatan (in Sweden) and we want to give more people the chance to see his games," said Hans Pekkari, director of sports for TV4 on the 19/11/2013 .

"It feels really good that we’ve already managed to extend the contract, as the French league only gets stronger and more interest from the media given all the money being pumped in from different directions," added Hans Pekkari.
