Alrosa, a Russian mining company specialised in diamond mining and production, has become a regional supporter in Europe of the 2018 World Cup on 23/04/2018. The deal is a third level partnership in the sponsorship hierarchy of FIFA and the World Cup in Russia.

Alongside the Russian companies Alfa-Bank (bank), Rostelecom (telecom) and Russian Railways (rail transport), "Alrosa completes line-up of European Regional Supporters of the 2018 FIFA World Cup," said FIFA on 23/04/2018.

"As part of their deal with FIFA, Alrosa has been granted brand association rights for the region and promotion rights on social media. They will be featured on LED boards in all stadiums during the tournament and benefit from product exposure in selected areas of the FIFA World Cup venues," added FIFA.

Russia is the world's largest diamond producer, by volume. Alrosa concentrates 95% of Russian diamond production and 29% of world production (in carats), according to the company.
