Bundesliga: Borussia Mönchengladbach reports a turnover of €179.3m in 2017 (-9%)

Borussia Mönchengladbach (Bundesliga) reported a turnover of €179.3m in the fiscal year 2017 (from 01/01 to 31/12/2017), announced the club at its members' meeting in Mönchengladbach (GER), on 16/04/2017.

Turnover was down by nearly 9% compared to the 2016 financial year when it reached €196.87m, a record amount for the North Rhine-Westphalia club. Borussia Mönchengladbach also recorded a decrease in net profit to €6.56m, more than 4 times less than in 2016 (€26.8m).

"The revenue from the Champions League and income from Granit Xhaka’s transfer (to Arsenal, Premier League) influenced the numbers heavily in 2016. We’ve achieved growth in almost all areas," said Stephan Schippers, CEO of Borussia Mönchengladbach.
