The Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 Conforama) - FC Red Bull Salzburg (Tipico Bundesliga) semi-final first leg of the 2017-18 Europa League (2-0), drew an average of 3.658 million viewers in France, on the free-TV channel W9, on Thursday 26/04/2018 (kick-off at 21:05 CET). This is a record TV audience for the M6 group channel.

The figure represented an audience share of 16.3% and ranked W9 second in the French television market for prime time on 26/04/2018.

For the 2015-2018 cycle, the M6 group has the first choice of games on each Europa League matchday. The pay-TV group beIN Sports broadcasts all matches of the competition.

For the 2018-2021 cycle, Altice group acquired, the full TV rights of the European Cups (Champions League and Europa League) for approximately €350m per season, on 11/05/2017.
