Championship: Hull City to play in Kenya in May as an activation of their SportPesa sponsorship deal

Hull City Tigers (Sky Bet Championship) will face either Gor Mahia FC, the 2017 Kenyan league Champions, or cup winners AFC Leopards SC, in a one-off game at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi (KEN) on Sunday 13/05/2018, announced the English side on 23/04/2018.

This friendly game is an activation of the sponsorship deal between Kenyan sports betting operator SportPesa and Hull City: SportPesa is the main partner and shirt sponsor of the English club since 2016-17 (until 2018-19, for a total amount of an estimated £10m / €11.3m as of 30/04/2018).

The sports betting operator is also the title sponsor of the Kenyan first league (SportPesa Premier League) and the main shirt sponsor of Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards. The two clubs will contend on 01/05/2018 at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru (KEN) for the 'Hull City Challenge': the winner will face the Sky Bet Championship side in Kenya on 13/05/2018.
