FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) are the 2017-18 Spanish champions, following their victory against RC Deportivo (4-2, Matchday 35 of LaLiga Santander) at the Estadio Abanca-Riazor (32,660 capacity), the home of RC Deportivo La Coruna, on Sunday 29/04/2018.

FC Barcelona have 86 points after 35 matchdays (28 wins, 8 draws, 0 defeats and one game in hand, 87 goals scored, 21 conceded), 11 points more than Club Atlético de Madrid (75 points) ahead of Matchday 36, scheduled from 04 to 07/05/2018. This is the 25th Spanish League title for FC Barcelona. The last was during the 2015-16 season.

With 25 league titles in Spain, FC Barcelona remain second place among the Spanish clubs behind Real Madrid CF (33 titles). Club Atlético de Madrid are third (10 titles), Athletic Club Bilbao fourth (8), and Valencia CF fifth (6).
