Didier Deschamps, manager of the French national team, has extended his post until 2016, announced Noël Le Graët, president of the FFF (French Football Federation), on the 19/11/2013.

"Didier had my full confidence and he will continue with the Blues until Euro 2016," said Noël Le Graët on the 19/11/2013. The next edition of the European Championship will be held in France from the 10/06 to 10/07/2016.

The announcement comes just after France's qualification for the 2014 World Cup, to be held in Brazil from the 12/06 to 13/07/2014. The Blues beat Ukraine 3-0 in the second leg of the European play-off, on the 19/11/2013, having lost 2-0 in Kiev in the first leg, on the 15/11/2013.

Didier Deschamps has been the manager of France since the 08/07/2012. The initial contract was for two years, with an option to renew until 2016, on the basis of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup.
