Facebook: 237.4 million likes in total for the 20 LaLiga Santander clubs (May 2018)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2017-18 LaLiga Santander season have a cumulative total of nearly 237.4 million likes on the social network Facebook, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/05/2018. This makes LaLiga Santander the second most popular Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League, with an average of nearly 11.9 million likes per club.

Real Madrid CF, who will play their third consecutive Champions League final in Kiev (UKR) versus Liverpool FC (Premier League) on 26/05/2018, are the most popular Spanish club with more than 107.9 million likes on Facebook. The club also posted the best growth in absolute value with 631,436 additional likes during the month of April 2018.

FC Barcelona, the 2017-18 Spanish champions, and Real Madrid CF have a cumulative total of more than 211 million likes on Facebook, nearly 89% of the total of likes of the LaLiga Santander clubs, and more than the 58 clubs in the Serie A TIM, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 Conforama combined.
