Facebook: nearly 53 million likes in total for the 20 Ligue 1 Conforama clubs (May 2018)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2017-18 Ligue 1 Conforama season have a cumulative total of nearly 53 million likes on the social network Facebook, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/05/2018. The Ligue 1 Conforama is the least-watched European Top 5 league on Facebook, with an average of 2.65 million likes per club.

Amiens SC was the Ligue 1 Conforama club which posted the best percentage growth on Facebook (+5.1%) compared to on 01/04/2018, ahead of Olympique de Marseille (+4%).

Paris Saint-Germain, the first French club to cross the 30 million likes mark in July 2017, recorded an increase of 253,712 likes in April 2018 (+0.7%). The 2017-18 French champions alone comprise 64.7% of the total likes of the Ligue 1 Conforama: no other Top 5 club dominates its league in such a way on Facebook.

Six of the Ligue 1 Conforama clubs saw their number of likes decrease in April 2018 (see below). This drop could be explained by a "cleanup" operated by Facebook, which removes the "likes" given by "bots" (robots) or by inactive or even deactivated accounts.
