NBA: Benjamin Morel steps down as vice-president and managing director for EMEA of the league

Benjamin Morel, 44, will step down as the vice-president and managing director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) of the NBA, by the end of July 2018, announced the NBA on 02/05/2018.

"During the period when Benjamin Morel led the NBA in Europe and the Middle East, he has contributed to many groundbreaking initiatives, including partnerships with Perform, and beIN Sports in the Middle East and France and Movistar in Spain, that have allowed the broadcast of matches and programmes in 61 countries and territories in Europe and the Middle East in over 36 languages," said the NBA.

"He also spearheaded the launch of the famous NBA Sundays, the first weekly prime time matches on Sunday night in Europe, and the NBA Sundays are now in their fourth season and have expanded to prime time Saturday night matches, " added the American professional basketball league.
