Twitter: 74.6 million followers in total for the 20 Premier League clubs (May 2018)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2017-18 Premier League season have a cumulative total of 74.6 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/05/2018. The Premier League is the most popular European Top 5 league on Twitter, with an average of 3.7 million followers per club.

Liverpool FC, the fourth most popular English club on Twitter, crossed the 10 million followers mark in April 2018 (10,251,737 on 01/05/2018) and was the Premier League club which posted the best percentage growth with 2.8% additional followers (+276,854).

In total, the 20 Premier League clubs accumulated 1,403,263 new followers in April 2018, 126% more than the 58 clubs of the Ligue 1 Conforama, Serie A TIM and Bundesliga combined (620,396).
