Coppa Italia: RAI extends TV rights in Italy until 2021 (€35.5 million per year, +61%)

RAI has extended its domestic TV rights to the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italia for the 2018-2021 period, announced the Italian public broadcasting group at the end of the General Assembly of the Lega Serie A at the CONI headquarters in Rome (ITA), on 07/05/2018.

The value of this acquisition, which includes radio rights, is €35.5m per season, an increase of 61% over the 2015-2018 cycle (€22m per season).

The free and pay-TV audiovisual group Mediaset, who were outbid by RAI on this tender, had proposed €33m per season. The annual floor price was €30m.
