The kit supplier market for clubs in Europe

The kit and equipment supplier market for the five major European leagues (Barclays Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A TIM, Liga BBVA and Ligue 1) represents €390 million in revenue for the 98 first division clubs.

The largest contract in the world binds Real Madrid (La Liga) to Adidas for €38 million per season until the end of the 2019-20 season.

German brand Adidas (23% of clubs) and American company Nike (21% of clubs) dominate a market where 24 brands exist in 2013-14. Behind the two sports equipment giants, Macron (8%), Puma (8%) and Kappa (7%) appear to be strong players in the market, being present in several leagues.

The allocation per club is on average higher in the Premier League with €7.3 million, compared to €4.2 million in La Liga, €3.4 million in Serie A, €3.2 million for the Bundesliga and, €1.7 million for Ligue 1. The per club average for the European Top 5 lies at €3.96 million.
