Germany: adidas official ball supplier to the 3.Liga (third division) for 2018-2022

The German brand adidas has become the official ball supplier to the 3.Liga, the German football third division, for the 2018-2022 period (four seasons), on 08/05/2018. This is the first time the 3.Liga, a division created in 2008-09 in its current single pool form, has an official ball common to the 20 clubs of the championship.

adidas has been the official equipment supplier, since 1954, of the DFB, which organises the 3.Liga. adidas has been providing the official balls to the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga since 2010-11, until the end of the 2017-18 season. From 2018-19, and until 2021-22, Derbystar, the German manufacturer of balls and sporting textiles, will supply the official balls to the first two German divisions.

The 2018-19 ball of the 3.Liga is a "Telstar 18" model, produced by adidas for the 2018 World Cup, and decorated with the logo of the German football third division.
